La Bougainvillea is located on the island of Eleuthera, an island in the Northeast Bahamas featuring perfect secluded white sandy beaches and lots of peace & quiet. The hotel is in the center of the 110-mile-long island. Governors Harbour Airport is only 20 minutes away.
WHO SHOULD GO:
Ideal for a retreat. Guests will stay in a mixture of Villas and Guest Rooms. All of the rooms have either Queen or King beds, but the price point is very good to accommodate singles. La Bougainvillea is ideal for Retreat Leaders looking for a boutique property that they can take over with perfect beaches, water activities, and the option to xplore a beautiful undeveloped island.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
There are 4 Villas and 5 Guest rooms in the Main house for a total of 19 bedrooms. They all have either 1 King or Queen bed, and many oceanfronts. There is an incredible 7-bedroom villa called 7 Palms. This is a great home base for the retreat. Two Yoga Mats are included in all guest rooms.
WELLNESS FEATURE:
The restaurant at La Bougainvillea is an authentic beachside farm and ocean-to-table restaurant. All of the vegetables served are grown on the island and most come directly from the property’s organic farm. Fish is caught in Bahamian waters making for the most fresh & delicious sushi! By only using fresh, local product, La Bougainvillea proudly support the local economy.

Don’t Miss the opportunity to Xplore Eleuthera. There is a large Ocean Hole nearby La Bougainvillea along with a large lake for kayaking and multiple caves to Xplore. And for sure Do not miss the Glass Window Bridge. This is an awe-striking spot where the Atlantic meets the Exuma Sound separated by a small concrete bridge. Just beyond the Glass Window Bridge, you can Xplore the Queens Bath, another Instagramable spot of tidal pools. Boat excursions are also a Must in Eleuthera. TRAVEL TIPS:
La Bougainvillea is about 25 minutes from Governors Harbour Airport and about an hour and 15 minutes to North Eleuthera. The drive is longer, but it is a beautiful, scenic ride. Bring Sneakers to xplore the natural trails.
