Well Nourished


I’ve been thinking a lot about Self Care. 

As a mother and business owner, often I am often last on my own priority list. Does this sound familiar? It seems pretty obvious that the more running around and busy I am, the more I am missing the present moment. It’s also these precious quiet spaces where intuition dawns and creativity is sparked. 

Here are three simple things that I am putting into routine to be sure I am Well Nourished.

  1. 1. Rise & Shine - waking up at least 30 minutes before my husband and little boy has been an amazing way to start the day. 20 minutes of Sun Salutations followed by a cup of coffee before my family wakes up allows me to begin the day calm and clear.

  2. Headspace - Everyone needs a reset once in a while. Sometimes the normal challenges of the day can throw me off center. There is a great app called Headspace, which simplifies 3 minute mediations. Did you know there are 1440 minutes in a day? You’ll thank yourself for taking 3 minutes to reset when needed and soon enough your family may thank you too.

  3. Evening Ritual - I am working on this one, but so far my evening ritual has been to diffuse an essential oil blend while laying in bed listening to an inspirational podcast. I plan to add to this once I am settled in my new house. 

I am starting to realize that it's the small simple things that add up to make a big impact.
