How did you begin your Journey of Teaching & Living a Conscious Lifestyle?
I walked into an Ashtanga Class and was amazed that I could be super challenged and yet leave feeling relaxed....I was hooked on yoga! The more I practiced, the more layers were peeled off which allowed my true authentic, self to radiate through. Having experienced this transformation, I was compelled to share my yoga with others so that they too could reap the benefits.....and another "yoga pusher" was born.
What are your Personal Wellness Rituals or Routines?
I spend quiet time in prayer, meditation and journaling to connect with my source of faith, Jesus Christ, early in the morning. Then I practice what I'm planning on teaching my class that day.
Is there a particular place in the World that inspires you most?
I love traveling and meeting new people and eating new foods. Although, I am most drawn to areas with water because it has such a calming affect on me.
What are your essential items to Pack for a Wellness Retreat?
yoga pants!! I also need my journal and essential oils which come in handy for numerous things.
If there is one thing you hope for people to take away from your Retreat what would it be?
I want people to have the space in their heart and mind to hear that still quiet voice of their Creator.
How has your Yoga & Spiritual practice changed your life?
It has gotten a lot more personal over time. I am no longer looking to please people but to simply love them as they are.......which pleases God.

ABOUT HANAN Hanan is a 500 hr certified yoga instructor who is dedicated to integrating meditation, asana, and biblical truth to the practice of yoga. She takes yoga to another dimension by creating a holistic practice that heals the whole being.
Hanan stumbled into an Ashtanga yoga class in 2006 and was hooked by both the physical and mental challenge. Since then she has come to also love the moving meditation of Vinyasa Flow as well as the healing aspects of Myofascial & Trigger Point Release Techniques and Thai Yoga Bodywork. Hanan was 200 hour certified through Life Power. She received her 300 hour certification through Dave’s Ashtanga. Hanan has been inspired by Eva Shaw’s compassionate and anatomically knowledgeable teaching style. Hanan strives to bring encouragement, compassion, humor and faith into her classes. Students in a Vinyasa Flow class can expect an upbeat class with lively and encouraging music where they can build strength and push out of their comfort zones. An All Levels class will make a beginner feel successful while giving the advanced practitioner the freedom to take postures deeper.
Hanan has received Adjustment Training from David Swenson in Texas, Teacher Faculty Training from Johnny Kest in, Michigan, Child and Adolescent Yoga Training from Dr. Julian Wyatt and Thai Yoga Bodywork training from Beri Golding. Hanan has also taken numerous workshops to deepen her own practice and teaching knowledge with David Williams, Kino MacGregor and Manju Jois. Hanan loves introducing new students to yoga as much as she loves challenging seasoned practitioners to refine their practice.
