It was within the four sacred walls of a dance studio that Julianne first found her voice. She felt that her body could express what words could not. She stepped into her first ballet class at the age of 5 and walked out with a lifelong fascination with movement.
During her time as a HEAT Dancer and student at the University of Miami, Julianne landed on her yoga mat for the first time. She was enthralled, not only by the intense physical challenge her yoga practice brought her, but the space that it created in her mind, the control that it inspired in her breath, and the awareness that it brought to her heart.
Julianne completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training at Bala Vinyasa Yoga (now FloYo) in 2013. She didn’t know then how much she would love leading people through an hour of intense physical work. What started out as a hobby in college turned into an exit strategy from startup and marketing life, and segue into full-time movement and healing arts.
Julianne completed her second 200-hour teacher training with mentor Jason Lawner and the Fluidus Method. Diving deeper into the idea of yoga as movement therapy, and with a bigger passion for sharing her practice, Julianne began developing content and leading teacher trainings for greenmonkey® yoga in 2017. She is currently a co-founder of The Inspired Life Teacher training - a 200-hour yoga teacher training that is launching this November. With a double bachelor of science in Communication and Psychology and a minor in Exercise Physiology, this sacred practice is a culmination of all that she is weaved with multiple schools of thought.
Julianne is committed to creating a space that not only welcomes, but encourages people to show up as they are, to anchor down in sensation and feeling in its richness and fullness, and to have an experience of themselves in the moment through the vehicle of the body to remember their Divinity. It’s through her practice that Julianne experiences the magic that exists within each and every moment, each and every person, and in herself... and she hopes to inspire you to do the same. Julianne will be co-hosting the Beauty of Being Retreat to Mukul in November 2018 with Jessie Potter.
